Lymington is renowned for its sailing and Saturday open-air market. Within walking distance from the house are a range of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops and a pretty quay with private yachts and working fishing boats.
Two local slipways are available for launching dinghies and powerboats.

Info
Open walks in the New Forest are just 1
mile away. Exbury Gardens with its train ride through
Rhododendron Garden and Beaulieu, home of the renowned
National Motor Museum, all 15 Minutes Drive.
Horse riding, golf, indoor swimming, dry skiing, track cycling, are all available in the Waterside area. Bicycle hire is available within the town. Lymington Lido, one of the last remaining open air swimming pools is but 10 minutes walk.
Easy rail links to Southampton, Bournemouth and London can be made from Lymington,
the Isle of Wight car ferry departs every half-hour or use the Little Puffin
Cruise that departs from Lymington quay.
A little further afield we have the countryside towns of Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst.
Within 35 minutes by car, the city of Winchester, capital of Wessex, and at 40 minutes is Salisbury, famous for being home to the tallest cathedral spire in England.
Bournemouth with its fine sandy beaches is just 40 minutes drive.
